5/02/2010 - Two New Asylum Trailers Online!


Direct to DVD studio The Asylum has just posted the trailers for its upcoming February and March releases.

First up we have Meteor Apocalypse which The Asylum describes as “A gigantic meteors enters Earth's orbit and begins to disintegrate, showering the entire planet with debris.” – Not exactly perfect English used in that sentence but hey, what can I do? I didn’t write it!

Looks like this has the potential to be a pretty cool crapfest. These guys seem to be really into making end of the world films at the moment. The trailer seems to be trying to show us only small glimpses to stop us from seeing the full extent of how inept the effects, acting and script are – but those glimpses are enough to know it will be! Looks like it could be a great of fun to watch. This comes out February 23.

Second up is 6 Guns – their first foray into westerns. The Asylum describes it as this “A young woman enlists the aid of a bounty hunter to teach her to be a gunfighter so she can hunt down the men who killed her family.”

Seems to be a whole bunch of gun fights pretty much. From this trailer it's hard to tell whether this'll be a borefest or a crapfest. I’m hoping this will actually offer up some cheap thrills, but the trailer isn't promising overly much - only time will tell. This comes out March 30.
